Happy 5th Birthday Jacob

So I wrote all about Jacob and his party, and then downloaded pictures and obviously they come in front of the text. It drives me crazy. I need to download pictures first I guess.
Here is the cake that Steve created. The Millenium Falcon. If he decides not to be a Dr. he could decorate cakes.

The front of the Millenium Falcon.

The Jedi Trainer with a Darth Maul Light Saber and Greg.

Let the Training begin. Steve made all of these light sabors out of PVC pipe and the foam covering and colored Duct tape.

"Using the Force"

Pin the X-Wing on the Death Star

Unthawing Hans Solo from the Carbonie

All of the Padawans in their Jedi Training Uniforms.

Well, here it is April 1st. 5 years ago Jacob joined our family in Houston, Texas. I can't believe it has been that long. He is such a funny little boy and he melts my heart.---even when he is naughty. I can't get over his smile and that dimple in his chin. He doesn't love when I kiss him, but he will let me give him a dimple kiss. (kiss him right on his dimple). When ever he sees a flower, he picks it and comes and hands it to me. I have received more flowers from my son than I have from any other person---(Steve's not a big flower husband.) OK--most of Jacob's flowers he gives me are Dandelions from the grass---but I get atleast 4-5 a day when they are "blooming". Then he picks flowers from the library or really anywhere he sees one. I hope he keeps that up--well not destroying other gardens, but the flower giving.
Steve had a lot of free time this month, so the last week of it, he channeled his energy into planning Jacob's birthday party. PARTY IT WAS!!!! I think the rule in our family will be that they can only have a friend party every 5 years---by then they won't think we will have to "top" that one. Especially knowing that Steve will never have that much time off to plan it, and knowing that I am not creative enough nor have the time to plan and carry it out.

What a fun party--Coleman will be so excited to see all of these pictures. If only you lived closer, I'm sure he and Jacob would be best buddies. Those kids could eat and breathe Star Wars and still want more. I'm so impressed with the cake and tunics and light sabers! Happy birthday Jacob!

I did a Star Wars Party for Ammon last fall. It was so great. I found a pinata shaped like Darth Vader and the kids beat it with a light saber. I mean they beat it to a pulp. I'v never seen girls with so much agression. Even my baby runs around the house pretending to use the force on people. Good times.

Steve is right up there with Brian McCune in the cake decorating and party planning. I'm sure Jacob will remember it forever so it was well worth it.
